Jonathan Prince Cann, the Founder & Managing Partner of JPCann Associates Limited, a management consulting firm headquartered in Accra, Ghana has been named the ‘Outstanding Business Leadership Personality of The Decade – Management Consultancy’ at the just-ended National Brands Innovation Awards 2022.
A member of staff received the award on his behalf as he was outside the country on a business trip. This accolade is another attestation to the value and impact he has made on brands and organizations within and outside Ghana.
Jonathan Cann is an astute Management Consultant specializing in Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC). Jonathan Cann holds an MBA in Financial Services from the University of East London (UEL) and is a Chartered Certified Accountant. He graduated from the University of Cape Coast with a Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com) and a Diploma in Education (Dip Ed.). he holds membership in ACCA, ACFE, IIA, CMI, and ASTD, among others. Jonathan is also an ISO Management Systems Auditor (MSA) and holds key certifications in ISO 27001, ISO 31000, 22301, and ISO 9001 from PECB Canada.
Jonathan Cann has consulted widely for several international institutions including European Union (EU), World Bank, FNV Mondiaal, CORDAID, WASTE, DFID, InEnt, USAID, etc. as an auditor and Business Advisory consultant.
He has also designed, implemented, and facilitated several training programs including Corporate Governance and Board Leadership programs for several institutions in Ghana and other countries. Institutions that he has designed and delivered services include the Central Bank of Liberia (CBL), Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), Volta River Authority (VRA), Bank of Ghana (BoG), Bui Power Authority (BPA), Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL), GCB Bank Ghana Ltd, SSNIT, NIB – Ghana, Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), UBA, Ghana Home Loans, Enterprise Group, National Insurance Commission, Central Bank of Liberia, Liberia Electricity Corporation, HFC Group, NBC Trust Ghana Ltd, among others.
He has more than 25+ years of experience with companies including Volta River Authority (VRA) and Apex Consulting LLC as consultants. He has also taught in various institutions including the University of Surrey, London South Bank University (LSBU), Guildford Business School, Elite College Wimbledon, and London School of Business & Finance (LSBF) all in the United Kingdom and also at the Regent University College, Ghana.
