Development Of Risk Register for Ghana Revenue Authority

The Development of Enterprise Risk Register (ERR) project was commissioned under the Risk Management Unit (RMU) of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) under the Ghana Revenue Programme (GRP), which was sponsored by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).

The rationale for this project was to support the GRA RMU to develop a comprehensive entity-wide risk register that captures comprehensively the risk issues of the GRA. To achieve this, JPCann Associates LTD was selected as the consulting partner, tasked with leading the development of the Risk Register through a structured and systematic approach. This included risk identification, risk analysis, risk mitigation controls, and residual risk treatment strategies.

A total of One Thousand Four hundred and eighty-five (1485) risk events were identified from the four divisions, namely, the Office of the Commissioner General, Customs Division, Support Services Division, and the Domestic Tax Revenue Division.
